I feel very fortunate to have seen some of the most beautiful churches in the world during my travels, but nothing prepared me for my visit to St. Peters. I just had no idea. The sheer scale and scope of it is truly awe-inspiring in the way a magnificent landscape feels when you're standing in front of it. One of Michael Angelo’s most famous sculptures greets you at the entrance. Thousands flock here to see this marvel of Renaissance art and architecture and yet in these photos, it seems I have the place all to myself. However, if I were to tilt my camera down even 1/16 of an inch, it would reveal thousands of heads, all looking up.
