In September 2018, I quit my job as a financial analyst in Toronto and decided to travel the world. It was by far the most life-changing decision I have ever made.
My original plan was to travel around Asia for six months before heading to Australia to do the working holiday there. However, I wanted to take advantage of the Mini RTW with Aeroplan before the foreseeable policy change which would make that trip no longer feasible. Therefore, I extended my trip and added more destinations–South America, Canada, and South Africa–to the mix. I adjusted my last leg of the trip again and decided to join Shelly, travelling to Japan and South Korea.
After having completed this journey, one of the most common questions I get asked is, how much did it cost? Probably a lot less than you think.
