Tranquility, peace, and beauty are just a few reasons why I love visiting Japanese Gardens. Their unique aesthetics cultivate not just, but rest, meditation, and sentimental pleasure as well. I welcomed the sweater weather by visiting the neighboring Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose, California. In the heart of Kelly Park is a six-acre garden that is patterned after Japan’s famous Korakuen Garden in Okayama. The garden has three ponds which are interconnected by streams and is each filled with colorful koi sent from Okayama. And if you have time to spare, just a few minutes from Kelly Park is the city’s famed Rose Garden that’s been hailed as the best in the country.
